Bandari FC Head Coach Ken Odhiambo Confident Ahead of Crucial Clash Against Ulinzi Stars

Bandari FC head coach, Ken Odhiambo, is highly optimistic as his team gears up for a crucial showdown against Ulinzi Stars at Mbaraki Stadium today.

Despite recent performances falling below expectations, Coach Odhiambo believes his side is ready to secure a much-needed victory to set a positive tone for the remainder of the season. 

He has also urged fans to turn up in large numbers and rally behind the team, emphasizing that their support will be instrumental. “At home, we must win—there is no other option.

We need our fans to show up in full force. Their energy will be crucial as we work to turn our results around,” Odhiambo stated. Bandari FC has been going through a rough patch, failing to secure a win in their last four Kenya Premier League (KPL) matches.

Their last victory came in February when they edged Sofapaka 1-0 at home. Currently, Bandari sits in 9th place on the league table with 33 points, aiming to regain form and climb higher in the standings, Coach Odhiambo has confirmed that key players will be available for the match.

Defender Dennis Ng’ang’a, who had been doubtful due to an injury sustained against Gor Mahia, has recovered and is fit to play.Additionally, young talents Izzadin Juma and Willy Gitama, who were recently with Kenya’s Under-20 squad, have rejoined the team and are ready to contribute.

“I thank God that I have a full squad to choose from. We were concerned about Ng’ang’a’s condition after his injury, but he is now fully fit and ready for today’s match. Willy and Izzadin were with the national Under-20 team, but they have now rejoined us, which is a great boost,” Odhiambo said. 

On the other hand, Ulinzi Stars come into this match with an inconsistent run of form, having won just one of their last five matches, drawing two, and losing two. 

As both teams prepare for this decisive encounter, all eyes will be on Bandari FC to see if they can break their winless streak and secure three vital points in front of their home fans.
